Wolf range, oven or cooktop trouble in Palo Alto? We are an independent Wolf repair specialist based in Palo Alto with hands-on experience across Wolf professional cooking equipment. Most no-light burners, weak flames, uneven baking and dead displays trace back to an igniter, spark module, sensor or control board — not the whole appliance. We run factory-spec diagnostics on site, then give you a flat quote. The $89 service call is waived when you book the repair, and every job carries a 365-day labor warranty.
Wolf cooking equipment we repair
Wolf builds the professional-style range and oven at the heart of many high-end Palo Alto kitchens, and each line fails a little differently. We service them across Old Palo Alto, Crescent Park, Professorville, College Terrace, Barron Park and Midtown:
- Dual-fuel ranges: gas sealed burners over a dual or twin electric convection oven. Common calls are igniters, dual-convection fans, temperature sensors and control boards.
- All-gas ranges & rangetops: sealed burners with spark ignition. Burners that click but won't light, weak or yellow flames and uneven simmer are the usual symptoms.
- Infrared griddle & charbroiler modules: the integrated griddle and grill options. We address ignition, uneven heating and thermostat faults.
- Wall & convection ovens: single and double built-in ovens. Bake/broil elements, igniters on gas models, convection fans, door hinges and electronic controls are the frequent culprits.
Tell us the model and serial number when you call and we will arrive with the right parts. We also service other premium brands — see our Viking and Thermador repair pages if your kitchen mixes brands.

Before you call: Wolf burner won't light
- Confirm gas and power. Make sure the gas supply is on and the range has power. If other burners light but one won't, the gas is fine and the problem is local to that burner.
- Clean and dry the burner. A spill or moisture around the igniter can stop the spark. Let the burner cool, wipe it dry, and make sure the cap and head are seated correctly.
- Clear the igniter port. Gently clear any debris around the spark igniter with a soft brush. A fouled port is a very common cause of clicking without a flame.
- Note what happens and call. Note whether the burner clicks, sparks or does nothing, then call (650) 668-5618 with the model number for the soonest window.
Common Wolf problems and what causes them
Most Wolf faults announce themselves at a single point in the ignition or heat circuit — a spark igniter that clicks but won't catch, a temperature sensor reading a few degrees off, a convection fan that has quietly stalled. We chase the spark, the flame and the electrical signal back to that one weak link with factory-spec readings: a no-light burner is usually a fouled igniter or clogged port rather than a failed valve, and uneven baking is far more often a sensor or fan than a dead oven. We prove the fault first, then quote it.
Why genuine OEM parts matter on a Wolf
Wolf ranges are precision gas-and-electric appliances, and the parts that control ignition, flame and oven temperature are matched to the unit. A generic igniter or off-spec sensor can light unreliably, run hot or cold, or fail again within months. We install factory-certified, genuine OEM Wolf parts and follow Wolf service specifications using factory-grade diagnostics — so the repair holds, and the 365-day labor warranty stands behind it.
That same care is what Palo Alto homeowners with estate kitchens and remodeled Mid-Peninsula homes rely on. Curious how a job is priced before you call? Our service pricing page lays out the flat-quote approach, and you can always reach us with a model number for a faster answer.
